Supervision

I offer individual supervision to psychodynamic and psychoanalytic psychotherapists working privately or within the public sector. I have a long history of providing supervision to colleagues.

Supervision is within a psychoanalytic model and therefore anyone seeking supervision with me needs to be already working within this model, or beginning to train within a psychodynamic model.

Supervision with me would not be appropriate for people who have not yet had an experience of personal therapy. This is because the boundaries between supervision and personal therapy are distinct, and it is important to be able to explore the issues arising in the work with patients/clients, knowing that a therapist will be able/have been able to address personal issues within their own therapy. There will be times when personal material is touched upon, but it would not be an expectation to explore such issues in supervision.
